Performance at 100th concert season of Lodz Philharmonic

Paweł Przytocki, being a former music director and a regular guest conductor in Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra in Lodz will conduct this orchestra in November 2014 during it's 100th concert season. The concert will take place in Lodz on 21st November. The most worthy of emphasizing fact about this event is an absolutely unique concert programme focusing on the theme of psalm. This varied repertoire consisting of four pieces combines the traditional romantic approach to this subject represented by Psalm 98 "Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied", op.91 by Felix Mendelssohn - Bartholdy with modern view: rarely performed Two Psalms for chorus and orchestra by Benjamin Britten and renowned choral symhpony composed by Igor Stravinsky - Symphony of Psalms. The forth piece - Symphony No. 1 "Jeremiah" by Leonard Bernstein (using texts from the Book of Lamentations and reffering to the story of the prophet Jeremiah) is a perfect complemet to the whole programme.
